After the number of animals in our household reached 8 we decided to switch from the small Drinkwell fountain to this one. It is a great improvement – having that many animals we had to refill the tank of the small fountain twice a day. This one holds a gallon of water, which lasts about 2 days, and all you have to do to refill it is pour water onto it. No more fumbling with tanks.
There are also several spouts to choose from and you can run it with or without the filter. Our animals love this fountain and frequently use it – especially the cats like drinking directly from the spout, and we can be sure they get enough water.
